Death 101

Caged by words with nowhere to go but inside oneself I enter a state of euphoria Handle the knife quick and effortlessly Feel a trickle of warmth I don’t feel any pain until I actually see the blood Past hurts drift further and further away I part from you with these last words Finger painted on the wall in blood Clothed only by the dark aura of death, Red lipstick, a black lace blindfold and red heels It’s twisted to proclaim that through life I have acquired a taste for my own demise Free of all fear as I tango with death Sucking cherries from his mouth Seducing him with the emptiness in my eyes A copy of Macbeth in my right hand and Hamlet in my left I read him these tragic stories of the lose or lose game of life He lays me down on a bed of orchids I inhale the sweet scent Feel the soft petals on every inch of my skin one last time And then he blows out my flame By Kimberley Valerie

Caged by words with nowhere to go but inside oneself
I enter a state of euphoria
Handle the knife quick and effortlessly
Feel a trickle of warmth
I don’t feel any pain until I actually see the blood
Past hurts drift further and further away
I part from you with these last words
Finger painted on the wall in blood
Clothed only by the dark aura of death,
Red lipstick, a black lace blindfold and red heels
It’s twisted to proclaim that through life
I have acquired a taste for my own demise
Free of all fear as I tango with death
Sucking cherries from his mouth
Seducing him with the emptiness in my eyes
A copy of Macbeth in my right hand and Hamlet in my left
I read him these tragic stories of the lose or lose game of life
He lays me down on a bed of orchids
I inhale the sweet scent
Feel the soft petals on every inch of my skin one last time
And then he blows out my flame
